Wild Pollen

Because we live in fast–paced, busy modern world, the toxic burden on our liver is overwhelming. Daily detoxification is vital for our health and longevity. Wild pollen is one of the finest superfoods the planet offers.

Premier Wild Pollen nourishes and strengthens the liver unlike anything we’ve seen before. This pollen is produced meticulously to ensure that it’s beautiful and clean, unlike the typically pesticide contaminated pollens found at healthfood stores. Mixing the pollen with Premier Canadian Wild Honey preserves it indefinitely and makes it 8 times more biologically available for the body.

Mix approximately 8 oz pollen to 12 oz honey in a jar – first put a little honey in the bottom of the jar, followed by the pollen and the rest of the honey on top. Let it sit for several hours, then mix thoroughly, let sit again for a few hours, then, mix again till blended smoothly.

This mixture will help the liver detoxify is a food for the whole family. Take a tablespoon daily for adults and a teaspoon for children.

Note: The picture shows all the pollen between only two large layers of honey. Making more, smaller layers may help combine the mixture easier.

Kind of like mock oatmeal, porridge can serve as a great breakfast option. I used bananas and wild rice this time, though you could use brown rice and apples or pears too. Experiment with different grains and fruit, adding, if desired, a tbsp of coconut oil too! Be creative!

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 cups rice, cooked
    • 2 bananas
    • ~2 cups water
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 tbsp raw honey

    Directions:

    1. Heat rice and water in a small pot, stirring well, until rice absorbs water and gets mushy - about 3 minutes.
    2. Add bananas in chunks and mash up in the porridge to incorporate.
    3. Remove from heat and stir in honey and cinnamon.
    4. Divide into bowl and top with chopped walnuts.

This is such an easy raw breakfast! Use any combination of nuts/seed you have at home. If you're using sweetened nut milk, omit the honey. Make sure that you don't over process the nuts or they will become more like nut-butter. This sweet and crunchy bowl of goodness is tastier and way healthier than cereal!

    • 1 large apple, diced (or if you're using a food processor, use your grater blade!)
    • 1/2 cup Raw nuts and/or seeds, chopped or coarsely processed.
    • Ground cinnamon (to taste)
    • 1 tsp raw honey (optional)
    • 1/2 cup Homemade or store bought unsweetened nut milk or rice milk

Coarsely grind (pulse) the nuts and seeds in a food processor or blender. Combine apple and nuts and seeds in a medium bowl. Add cinnamon and honey.  Mix well. Spoon into bowls and add milk.

Inspired by a Spanish tapa, I ventured to use my beloved saffron in something other than paella. The Italian seasoning mix complements the saffron without overpowering it.  I used spinach but feel free to experiment and throw in any other hardy green veggie for color, nutrition and texture! Keep in mind that the Italian Seasoning Mix I use already has garlic in it, so if you want a milder garlic flavor, omit or cut my generous serving of fresh garlic.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb Wild Jumbo Shrimp (I used TJ's Wild Blue Shrimp)
    • 1/2 package Spicely Organics' Italian Seasoning Mix
    • Pinch high quality Saffron (1 package of Spicely Organic's Saffron)
    • 4 cloves Garlic, grated or pressed or minced
    • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 5 oz. Baby Spinach
    • Sea Salt or Pink Salt to Taste
